These Terms of Use apply between the Daniel Jung Academy, Kölner Str. 102, 42897 Remscheid, and any person who, by registering with the #letsrockmathe math community, enters into a membership agreement with Daniel Jung (hereinafter referred to as the “registered user” or “user”).
The Terms of Use do not apply if the user clicks on a third-party link and leaves Daniel Jung's website.
A registered user is someone who, at Daniel Jung:
When registering, users must provide accurate information, in particular their correct first and last names.
The registered user is responsible for protecting the account assigned to him or her, i.e., his or her personal user ID. Sharing login credentials with third parties is not permitted. The registered user is obligated to notify Daniel Jung immediately of any unauthorized use and to inform him if a third party gains access to his or her login credentials.
Basic membership with Daniel Jung is free of charge. In return, users receive various services, including access to a platform where members can discuss topics in mathematics, as well as the curation and collection of content from the Daniel Jung Academy. Daniel Jung may modify, expand, restrict, or discontinue the services offered at any time. Registered users can also apply for events, job postings, and the Daniel Jung Scholarship. Daniel Jung allows selected third-party providers to display content, products, or services (hereinafter referred to as “Third-Party Offerings”) on the Daniel Jung website—for example, workbooks from StudyHelp GmbH. A corresponding notice will appear on the respective webpage.
The use of such third-party offers may be subject to separate terms, conditions, and fees. Third-party offers may be changed at any time without Daniel Jung’s knowledge. In the event of any contract entered into between the registered user and the third-party provider, Daniel Jung is not a party to the contract, nor is he a vicarious agent or representative.
Daniel Jung assumes no liability or warranty for the nature, scope, or quality of third-party offerings that may be used as part of Daniel Jung’s services, and expressly does not endorse them. Furthermore, Daniel Jung assumes no liability or warranty for the availability, functionality, compatibility with systems and programs, or the graphical, content-related, or technical design of these third-party offerings. Daniel Jung is also not liable if third-party offerings contain errors or omissions; in particular, no liability is assumed for the use of calculation results from the online calculators.
If a registered user posts content on Daniel Jung’s websites or in the community, the user grants Daniel Jung an unrestricted, irrevocable, and transferable right to use that content, including excerpts or edited versions. The registered user is responsible for ensuring that he or she holds the necessary rights to the content he or she posts.
The content made available as part of membership with Daniel Jung is subject to German copyright and related rights laws. Any use not permitted under German copyright and related rights laws requires the prior written consent of the provider or the respective rights holder. This applies in particular to the reproduction, adaptation, translation, storage, processing, or reproduction of content in databases or other electronic media and systems. Displaying this website within third-party frames is permitted only with prior written permission.
Third-party content is identified as such. For third-party content, any use not permitted under German copyright and related rights law requires the prior written consent of the respective author, photographer, or creator.
Both parties are entitled to cancel their membership at any time without providing a reason, either by email or by mail. For more information, please see ourFAQ.
Daniel Jung places the utmost importance on the protection of personal data. Ourprivacy policycontains detailed information about the purposes for which data is used.
There is no guarantee that the services offered will be available at all times. If a service is unavailable or temporarily unavailable, Daniel Jung shall not be liable for this.
Daniel Jung is liable only for damages caused by Daniel Jung, his legal representatives, or vicarious agents through willful misconduct or gross negligence, or resulting from a breach of material contractual obligations (obligations whose fulfillment is essential for the proper performance of the contract and on whose compliance the registered user regularly relies and is entitled to rely). Any liability that does exist is limited to foreseeable damages typical for this type of contract. Liability under the Product Liability Act or arising from injury to life, limb, or health remains unaffected. In all other respects, liability is excluded.
Daniel Jung reserves the right to amend these Terms of Use at any time and without providing a reason. The amended Terms of Use will be sent to registered users by email no later than two weeks before they take effect. The amended Terms of Use are deemed accepted if the registered user does not object to them within two weeks of receiving the email containing the amended Terms of Use.
When announcing the amended Terms of Use, Daniel Jung will inform users of the two-week period and the consequences of failing to file an objection. If a user files an objection, the right to use the services provided by Daniel Jung will end upon expiration of the objection period. This entitles Daniel Jung to delete the account and data of the respective user.
If any provision of these Terms of Use is invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain unaffected. The User Agreement, including these Terms of Use, is governed by the substantive law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. The place of performance is the registered office of Daniel Jung.
